Forum Post: REF5030 - Current Source 20uA

Hi, The idea is to use the REF5030 to make a precision current source of 20uA to use with a NTC. Some data: Vcc = 3.3V Precision Current = 20uA. Questions: Can I use the REF5030 on this configuration?...

Nikos, Since it's in the TI design, I would leave them in for the time being. I'm just concerned that with digital currents, you might see more supply spiking. You can still test it to see if it poses...

Forum Post: DRV2605 Drive AC motor?

Hi Team, The customer uses DRV2605EVM-CT . DRV2605 can drive LRA motor and ERM motor. Q1: Are both LRA motor and ERM motor DC motor? Q2: Are the LRA motor and ERM motor driven through PWM controling?...

Forum Post: RE: DRV2605 Drive AC motor?

Hi Mickey, Q1: No. The ERM is a DC motor, whereas the LRA is drven with an AC signal (biphasic square pulses). Q2: Yes, both types of actuators can be driven with a PWM signal through the IN/TRIG pin....

Forum Post: RE: DRV2605 Drive AC motor?

Hi Mickey, Q1: Yes, the LRA is an AC motor. However, the output of the DRV2605 is not a purely sinusoidal signal. It drives the LRA using biphasic square pulses at a center frequency equal to the...

Hi Kelly, Thanks for your reply. How to set the frequency in open loop? How much is the frequency when the customer wants to drive a pure sine wave?

Forum Post: RE: DRV2605 Drive AC motor?

Hi, Mickey: for open loop mode, DRV2605 needs an external PWM signal input, which the signal frequency should be 128 times of the frequency you want. DRV2605 cannot output pure sine wave.
