Forum Post: RE: How these circuit diagrams in the datasheet was made?

Hello Goodarz, There have been many schematic capture systems used at TI over the years. Back in the 80's it was almost all done by hand. Schematic capture graphics is combined with text and edited...

Forum Post: RE: DRV2700EVM-HV500: output voltage ripple issues

Yes, at 0 and 500V setpoints the ripple is fairly low (about 1-2%). Unfortunately we need this behaviour in the full range 0-500V. I think we'll adopt another solution. Thanks for your help anyway!

Forum Post: RE: How these circuit diagrams in the datasheet was made?

Thanks Ed for your reply, Yes true, it seems to be an old schematic, but it was only a sample picture. Do you know what software is being used at the moment ? Since the schematics in the datasheets...

Forum Post: RE: How these circuit diagrams in the datasheet was made?

Goodarz, TI has been using ALTIUM for the past few years. Mentor and PCAD were used many years ago. But like I said, the schematics are sent to our Technical Publications team where it is then massaged...

Hi goodarz, Just to add some additional commentary, the 'pretty schematics' found in some documentation are often created with an actual graphics program such as AutoCAD, Visio or Corel Designer. There...

Forum Post: DRV2625: Is Overdrive time programmable?

Part Number: DRV2625 Hi, Team Customer asked: Is the overdrive time programmable? If it was, what is the range and how to program it? Thank you.

Forum Post: RE: DRV2625: Is Overdrive time programmable?

Hi Dong, The overdrive (OD) is automatic, but it does have a programmable clamp time with a minimum of 25ms. This is in register 0x29. The automatic OD clamp algorithm is part of TI's patented...

Forum Post: RE: DRV2625: Is Overdrive time programmable?

Thomas, From auto-calibiration we know the expected back-EMF signal from the LRA. We are tracking the back-EMF with our closed loop algorithm. As the back-EMF value approaches the target, we know that...

Hi Thomas, Have you run the auto-calibration routine? Its important to calibrate to the LRA for accurate rated voltage. I noticed that the overdrive (OD) voltage is 1.6V. The OD voltage is in Vpeak and...

Forum Post: RE: DRV2625: Is Overdrive time programmable?

I want to add that the overdrive can be adjusted using register 0x1A. This is a signed number that can add or subtract time to the overdrive portion of the waveform. I recommend only using this for...
