Forum Post: DAC8551: Communicating to DAC8551
Part Number: DAC8551 From reading the data sheet for the DAC8551 , I should beable to enter a number from 0-65535 and the Vout should range from 0-5V (I have it connected to a 5V supply). When I write an integer (connected to the CLK and MOSI and D7 pins for chip select on a STM nucleo) I can range the voltage from 0-5V but the binary input value can only ranges from 0-4000. What may be causing this problem? Do I need to send an integer (65535) to the DAC8551 or characters in binary (0000 0000 1111 1111 1111 1111) no spaces?

Forum Post: RE: AMC7836: Setting up Device for ADC only usage
Hi Anirudra, Q1. The AVCC/AVSS much still be connected, but they do not need to be high-voltage. AVCC can be tied to 5V, AVSS can be grounded. Note that REF_CMP is not NC, it still should have the compensation capacitor connected to it. Q2. The low voltage LV_ADCs will still be mapped to 0V to 5V. The high-voltage inputs will still be mapped to -12.5V to 12.5V, even with the lower supplies. Thanks, Paul

Forum Post: RE: ADS1296: Continuous data mode sometimes only returns 0s
Yes. The input signal is always the same. Digging further, I actually found that my issue is exactly the same as Mich in this post: e2e.ti.com/.../470033. It looks like the device doesn't take into account the RDATAC cmd send before conversions start. If I send a single CMD_RDATA before each data read, then I don't have any issues...

Forum Post: RE: AMC7834: Pulsed closed-loop mode
Hi Aidar, We specify that a max on/off time from sleep as 5µs each, so a pulse would be max 10µs. It will also be dependent on the load of the output. If you want to email me directly, I could send some information about another device we have that might be better for your application. frost@ti.com Thanks, Paul

Forum Post: RE: ADS1299EEGFE-PDK: Hardware and software problems
Hi, Alex Thank you for replying fast. I was testing and all J2 pins are short circuited, +5Va, +5VD and GND too. If I'm not wrong, is this meaning that U5 or/and C1 are bad, could it mean that other components are bad too? " If POWER SUPPLY IN and POWER SUPPLY GND are short circuited, your board may very well be damaged. " Do you have any idea where could be the problem? " Probe the power pins (AVDD,DVDD) to see if power is correctly reaching the part. " From MMB0 board or ADS1299 board ? I can't figure out how can I power supply the ads1299 without the mother board MMB0. There is a way to use ads1299eeg whitout MMB0? When you said CAP1, CAP2 and CAP3, do you mean C1, C2 and C3 on schematic? And, finally, do you think I gonna need to buy another kit use? Regards, Matheus Alexandre

Forum Post: DAC38RF82: error in standard projects on the site
Part Number: DAC38RF82 Hello I would like to buy DAC38RF82 to use with Arria10, but on your site error with standard projects. When i unpack a Arria10 + DAC38RF82 Design Firmware , it is actually the same as an Arria10 + ADC32RF44 Design . Same as the instructions. They are the same, although they should be designed for different products. Could you help solve this problem?

Forum Post: ADS5404: SYNC Input voltage range
Part Number: ADS5404 Hi, SYNC pin voltage range is specified as below. Though my customer send sync signal from FPGA, voltage range is not match as below; FPGA LVDS Spec(1) Vodiff :247mV(min),350mV(typ),600mV(max) FPGA LVDS Spec(2) Vocm :1.0V(min),1.25V(typ),1.425V(max) Have looked for TI's LVDS buffer, I could not find the product satisfied with above input specification. Do you have any idea to solve it? Best Regards, Kuramochi

Forum Post: LM98714: CLKOUT(CMOS mode)
Part Number: LM98714 Hi, Though my customer is evaluating LM98714 on the CMOS mode, clock signal does not output from CLKOUT pin(40pin). DOUT0~7 pin is outputting CMOS signal at 90MHz. They are setting value into register as attached. (Please visit the site to view this file) Is there another register to change setting? Please let me know if you have any question. Forum Post: RE: ADS7047: Interfacing ADCs and DACs to Digital Signal Processors
Hi Abe, The ADS7047 and DAC7571 are both serial devices, but the ADC uses an SPI interface and the DAC uses I2C - if you want some sort of synchronization between the two, it would be better (easier?) to use a DAC that also has an SPI interface, that way you could send data to the DAC while receiving data from the ADC using a single SPI port - you still won't be 100% 'in phase' on the DAC output with the ADC input, but you'll be closer than you would using two different protocols to talk to the parts. What sort of application is this project for?

Hi Lloyd, The MSC1211 and its sister parts were never ported to Code Composer Studio. Can I ask what sort of application you are contemplating using this device with? You might find this document helpful as well: www.ti.com/.../sbau101a.pdf

Forum Post: LMP92066: LMP92066 device version A1 output voltage accuracy
Part Number: LMP92066 Hi, so far we've been working with LMP92066 device version A0 (marking 79AXN7U) which works just fine with excellent accuracy. Now we got a new batch of boards where the device version as read back in register 1F is A1 (device marking 7BAX89U). There, we see an accuracy of the output voltage of just +/-50..80mV, i.e. the output voltage is 50..80mV lower or higher than the set value (in override mode. register readback verifies that the correct values are written in). So -is there any change in programming for revision A1? -does revision A1 even exist or is it a fake chip? -have you seen similar behavior on revision A1? Thanks a lot and kind regards, Jan
