Dear Yusuf, I have downloaded the AFE722x ADC Control Software version1.3. It was very difficult to locate this software in Texas Instrument website. I found it in reply section of some query raised in your community page. Now coming to the point. I have gone through the User guide provided by you in our previous discussion. In content number 4 of the user guide which tells about the "Initial EVM setup and Basic test procedure" it tells us to do the necessary hardware connection which involves two function generator with TSW1405 and AFE7225 Card I have done the connection as per the prescribed hardware connection shown in the user guide. After that it is asking us to do CDCE72010 configuration where we have followed some steps and do necessary RX setup in the AFE722x control Software. Even after doing all these necessary settings I am not able to capture and data in the HSDC Pro software. Once again I am telling you In our end I am only having TSW1405 and AFE7225EVM board. I am attaching a photograph of my setup involving all above mentioned items. Please check it and reply as soon as possible since we are running out time. Regards Chandan Dutta.

Part Number: ADS54J20 Tool/software: Linux Hi Team, Do you have Linux driver for this module? If it's not, Could you please suggest the best approach like 1) Write kernel space ADC driver as already written some driver in "drivers/iio/adc/" directory in Linux kernel OR 2) Use spidev to write user space driver. OR if any other method, please suggest. Thanks, Hardik

Ok. I add the cell of on analog input. The registers settings are following: Initial Config: 4000 (0100 0000 0000 0000) 44D0 (0100 0100 1101 0000) 4850 (0100 1000 0101 0000) 4C00 (0100 1100 0000 0000) first capture 4000 (0100 0000 0000 0000) 0008 (0000 0000 0000 0100) 0000 (0000 0000 0000 0000) 4050 (0100 0000 0101 0000) 0008 (0000 0000 0000 0100) The supply voltage is 2.7V and the external reference is 2.5. The input is 20mA, that in the ADC input is 2.5 volts. The serial resistors are 1k, is it possible that are large? Is it preferible 100?

Part Number: AFE5801 Hi, We are using AFE5801IRGCT with Altera FPGA, there is EVM and its data capture is demonstrated over TSW1400 FPGA board/GUI. Please share get the ADC capture RTL code for our reference? Thanks and Regards

Hi Edu, Thanks for the info. Excuse the inference, but from the tone of your response it sounds like the DDC is dated component (I know the datasheet is lacking). Would you recommend my using a different part? I am getting pushback on gaining info on the DDC2256A (Amy wants an NDA). Is that or perhaps another part better for my application? Mark

Hi Michael, The connector you have circled on the TSW1400 EVM is the DAC_INTERFACE connector. The ADC_INTERFACE is on the bottom side this EVM due North of the FPGA. These two EVMs mate together with no problem. Please check the box if this answered your question. Thanks Christian

Hi Mostafa, The FTP site has been shut down. You can download ADCPro from here: http://www.ti.com/tool/ADCPRO Documentation related to the ADS1675REF can be downloaded from here:

Forum Post: ADC3441: "input pin (...) must swing symmetrically", ADC344x family

Part Number: ADC3441 Hello, in the datasheet for ADC344x pg. 46, 9.3.1 Analog Inputs section it says that Each input pin (INP, INM) must swing symmetrically between (VCM + 0.5 V) and (VCM – 0.5 V), resulting in a 2-VPP (default) differential input swing. (emphasis mine) I understand this as "the integral of the signal (minus the VCM baseline) over a long time must be more or less equal to 0". Since that would rule out DC signals (which are explicitly said to be supported as per this answer ) I am assuming that my understanding of that is wrong. Can you explain to me what this means? I'm trying to digitize integrated charge from a SiPM, so the signal form is of course dependent on the light level. Thank you in advance, Christoph

Forum Post: ADS7955-Q1: Interfacing ADC circuitry

Part Number: ADS7955-Q1 Hi there, I selected ADS7955-Q1 for my application due to cost and temperature grade of 125C. For this ADC, my application consists of measure 6 battery cells (ranging from 10.5V to 15V) thru a voltage divider and input it to the ADS7955 , that talks via SPI with MCU. I based my circuitry in the ADS7955 datasheet and 'ADS79xxEVM and ADS79xxEVM-PDK User's Guide' ( http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau262d/slau262d.pdf ) Questions: 1. My Vcc is 3V3. Vref for ADS could be 2.5V? (I'm using REF5025 ) 2. The 33R is to keep input impedance bellow 50Ohm recommended in the Datasheet? 3. This is my input circuitry. Is that ok? Regards, Ueliton

Vinay, I've been out of office on business travel this week, but I thought I would check back in on if you can get a chance to zoom in on the previous capture.

Fuquan, I had posted the information on the 2nd response following your main thread. Please go back to earlier discussion. There is a forum post that talks about exactly how to interface the TSW308x EVMs through this DLL. Please follow this thread accordingly.

Forum Post: RE: ADS8332: Sample/hold function

Hi Takeshi-san, You are correct; there is an internal sample and hold capacitor inside the ADS8332 . Figure 34 in the datasheet shows the equivalent circuit. In general, this means there is no need for an external sample an hold. The only time I have seen an external used would be to simultaneously sample multiple channels, and then the ADS8332 or similar ADC can scan through and convert each of the samples. However, when simultaneous sampling is required, there are ADC's that have this capability already included. For most applications using the ADS8332 , an external sample and hold is not needed. If the customer requires simultaneous sampling for multiple channels, there are several other ADC options. An example is the ADS8588H 16b, 8 channel simultaneous sampling ADC. Regards, Keith N. Part Number: ADCPRO Hi, I have just installed ADCPRO directly (I couldnt find ADCPRO luncher). I selected to install plugins but there is no plugin in the EVM menu. I found that there is a zip file the ADCPro folder adcpro _v2.zip it sis protected by password but I can see the name of files inside it. There is another zip file in it at plugins/evm/ads1258evm source.zip that seems contains the plugin for ADS1278EVM. Anyone knows how I can up and running ADS1278EVM on ADCPro ?
